Hook Parish Council: About the Council
Hook has been a civil parish, with its own Parish
Council, since 1932. The council has twelve members, who each represent
the whole village. The full council meets approximately once a month,
with committee meetings more frequently. Members of the public are
welcome to attend meetings, and may address the council under the "Ten
Minute Rule" during meetings of the full council.
Many of the communications that the Parish Council receives relate to
services provided by other authorities. This guide to "Who
Does What", sets out which authorities are responsible for
various services such as Highways and Transport.
