Hook's long serving Parish Clerk, Dave Deadman, has been awarded
the Hart District Council Chairman's Award of Merit. The awards are
given annually, for outstanding Community Service in Hart District.
Dave, who has been parish clerk for over thirty years, was
presented with his award - an engraved glass vase and a bouquet of
flowers - by Hart Chairman Charles Lynch on March 28th at the Harlington Centre,
Fleet. In the audience were most of Hook Parish Council, who had
secretly nominated him, along with his wife Valerie and members of his
family.
